On January 1st 2011 Michael Chrisman placed a pinhole camera in Toronto’s Port Lands and pointed it at the city’s skyline. He left the camera there until New Year’s Day 2012 and created a year-long exposure on photosensitive paper. While most photos are taken in a fraction of a second, Chrisman’s pinhole photo took approximately 31,536,000 seconds! That’s one long exposure and the results are beautiful and dreamy. To the see the finished image and read more about the process please read the complete article in today’s Toronto Star.
