Greetings from the Prairies

My name is Don Kondra.

Max the pretend guard dog and I live and work on an acreage about a dozen miles west of Saskatoon.

I have been self employed as a furniture designer/maker/writer since 1979 and recently began offering product photography services mostly to my peers in the craft community.

You could also say I am a refugee from the "usual" photo sites populated with kiddies

My most recent work is a cast bronze sculpture by Michael Hosaluk titled "Nurture". The objects are ~ 4" long.

This is a piece I made for myself recently, a photo stuff storage wall hung cabinet in cherry and curly maple.

Hi Don!
I love the furniture, very , very well done. I like figured woods also. BTW, I noticed your address, I did a shoot for National Geographic World in Saskatoon a few years back. It was 60 below the day before I landed to shoot a Native American 11 year old who had driven her dad's truck to get help when he fell out of a blind. I had a great time at their home, about an hour west of the city.

Small world, I'm about a half hour west of town but a bit off the main road.

Days like you described are when I appreciate working from home and simply throw another log on the fire

It's a good thing it doesn't last and I actually enjoy four distinct seasons..
