New logo - any thoughts?

I was messing around designing a new logo for CanPhoto.Net tonight. What do you think?

The red got very pixelated when saved for the web and uploaded here, but the original doesn't look like that. I'll have to figure out how to avoid that.

Here's another variation that might look good on a t-shirt. I'd love to hear any comments.

Attached is one of the new versions that works nicely as a square icon for Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Hi Andrew:
They all look quite stunning, but if I had to pick one I think I would go with the one that works best as a square for Twitter and Facebook. I really is quite sharp!

Thanks for the feedback Peter. I agree with you about the square one. That one works very well online and I did a bit more work on it last night. See the attached image.

The first two I posted above were quick attempts to put together something that would work on a T-shirt. I'm still working on that and think the square logo might be too complex for a shirt.

I've been posting some samples on our Facebook page as well, and a few people are very eager to purchase a CanPhoto T-shirt. So that's pretty cool!

I'm not so sure, the printing industry has come a loooonnng way in recent years, when it comes to screen printing and the like, on fabrics. I think the issue may be cost, more than complexity.

I quite like your lens logo myself. It wouldn't be too hard to simplify that if you needed to make a two-colour version for screen printing.
