Paul, before you flog it, have you looked at Nikon's tele-converters. They used to work very well in the days of film and were a lot cheaper than new glass.

Hey Peter,
Yes I actually bought (at the same time as the lens) their latest 1.4. TC. I still want more high quality reach, probably the 400 2.8 and maybe for my shorter range needs I may get the 70-200 2.8 |

Hi Paul: I wish I had the money, I have the need, but not the cash. There was both a 400 and a 500 for sale at Nikon Canada in Mississauga I believe? You might want to call and just check. They would be less expensive than a camera store.
