Hey all

I've worked with many ringflashes and had different results from each. I was interested to see if people had found a particular type of ringflash that they really like, and what they find special about it.

Thanks,

djh

I've never used ringflashes, but I have to mention something I saw on Fashion Television recently. They were doing an interview segment backstage at a fashion show, and in the background I noticed all these photographers with what were obviously homemade ring flashes. Some were square and others were round, and it looked like they were using four shoe mount flashes like SB-28s mounted around the camera with some type of box and diffusion material connecting the whole mess together. Actually mess isn't the right word, because it looked pretty slick and there were several photogs with similar set-ups. So it must work.

Anyone ever seen or used something like this?

I'd be interested to hear any information regarding the making of these "ring flashes" anyone may have. *Cheers!
