With my studio soon to open we had planned in the future to expand with a darkroom. One of my concerns with this idea was the environmental impact a darkroom could have an especially in this day and age the environmental impact of a company means a great deal.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions on environmentally friendly options for darkroom set up and gear. I did find some info on silver grain products which claim to be more environmentally friendly then the alternative options.

Any help would be great.

Something else you may want to look into, is a silver recovery system. Most professional labs use them and recover some of their costs in the process. I don't know what type of volumes you need to make it viable, but it can't hurt to look into it.
