Two Photographers/Two Visions: Ansel Adams & Alfred Eisenstaedt, is currently on display at the Art Gallery of Ontario and continues through February 4, 2007. Considered the 20th Century's most renowned photographers, Ansel Adams and Alfred Eisenstaedt saw life through the lens.  These two exhibitions present a new look at the extraordinary careers of Adams and Eisenstaedt and highlight some of their most iconic images.  Organized by the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, one exhibition takes a new look at the work of Ansel Adams through 125 images selected from The Lane Collection, spanning this American master's fifty-year career.  Acquired by William H. Lane and Saundra Lane in the early 1960s and 1970s, the collection encompasses an extraordinary breadth and depth of Adams' work, garnered from the artist during a ten-year period.  Many rarely exhibited prints from the 1920s through the 1970s are presented along with several of Adam's iconic landscape images, that has made Adams among the few photographers in the history of the medium whose name and work enjoy worldwide recognition.
