Canadian combat photographer Louie Palu: A video profile

Louie Palu is a Canadian combat photographer who grew up in Toronto and began working as a photojournalist for newspapers and magazines, including six years as a staff photographer for The Globe And Mail. Palu covered the war in Afghanistan from 2006 to 2010 on multiple trips as an embed with military personnel and independently. In this video profile he discusses his experiences covering the combat and the impact it has had on his work and his personal life. The video was produced by Venessa Hernandez, a student in the Syracuse University military photojournalism program and an active member of the U.S. Armed Forces.
