One of Benjamin Von Wong’s favourite phrases is “Sounds impossible, Let’s do it”, and that phrase is very appropriate for the Montreal photographer’s latest photo shoot that resulted some unbelievable images of underwater demons.

The idea for the shoot originated during a brain-storming session about unique ideas involving photography and body paint. From there the concept evolved into a very complex scenario that included black lights, models in fluorescent makeup and an indoor swimming pool. It also required thousands of dollars worth of photo and video gear, including a Nikon D4, an Ikan D5 monitor, and a Kessler Crane Pocket Jib to suspend the camera out over the water.

Finding a pool in Montreal proved to be one of the most difficult parts of this shoot, but after a great deal of networking and online research Von Wong eventually found a solution via fellow photographer Denis Bussiere, who provided the pool and lots of tips about shooting underwater.
