Behind the scenes with Kristian Bogner, Kirk Neff and the Nikon D800

Go behind the scenes with professional photographer Kristian Bogner and cinematographer Kirk Neff for the making of “Nikon D800 HD-SLR – One Camera: Two Perspectives”. The two-part video was produced by Nikon Canada and was shot entirely with the D800 over two days in Canmore, Alberta.

In part one of the behind the scenes video Bogner and Neff demonstrate how they took the D800 to the extreme to catch amazing stills and videos.



In part two we catch a glimpse into the second day of Neff and Bogner’s “Project Epic” excursion in Alberta. In this video they share their experiences with the D800 and explain how they were able to capture some great Canadian athletes in action.

Kirk Neff has made a name for himself as one of Canada’s premiere cinematographers having won 3 Canadian Society of Cinematography awards and 7 RTDNA awards. He is the only person in Canada to win the Best Creative Use of Video (Network) Award from the RTDNA 3 years in a row. He has also brought home a Gemini award and this has all happened in the last 6 years.

Kristian Bogner is from Canmore, Alberta and has won the Commercial Photographer of the Year for Canada Award from the Professional Photographers of Canada Association an unprecedented two times in a row. Kristian is also a four time recipient of Photographer of the Year for Alberta, six time Photographer of the Year for Canada Finalist and winner of numerous other awards for best fashion, best sports, best illustrative, best industrial, and best scenic images in Canada. He has received multiple international awards and many of his images have been selected to be a part of the prestigious Canadian National Archives.
